ED
Hello, I am Ed and I have had a rough patch of luck the past few months.
Back over the winter, I was living with five Dalmatians and two Dalmatian mixes.
My owner unfortunately could no longer care for all of us and we all needed help.
A wonderful friend of the owner took care of us for awhile, but she needed to
find a place for us to go. The five Dalmatians (who are up for adoption: Sleepy,
Princess, Tiki, Sally, and Rose) were taken into rescue and I went to the shelter
with the other two Dalmatian mixes. My current foster mommy tracked the three of
us and watched as my two companions were adopted and I was transferred to another
shelter. Fortunately for me, this shelter was about 30 minutes from my foster
mommy's home.
I was then adopted into a family that had a wonderful, excited playmate for me.
Life was good and we played well together. Then a family friend brought over a
small-breed puppy and everyone (including my companion) was so excited that I
thought it was a toy and tried to grab it! I was very confused about the whole thing.
That Monday, I was returned to the shelter and the nice shelter workers called
foster mommy. The shelter workers liked me so much they kept me a few weeks
until foster mommy could visit me and make arrangements for me. Foster mommy
and her seven year old son took me on long walks, would sit outside with me and
took me around other dogs before she decided to bring me home. Foster mommy also
called the nice lady who took care of my when my owner went to jail and found out
that I was about 4-5 years old, my father was a Dalmatian and he mated with a
neighbor's dog back when I lived in Washington state. Foster mommy believes
it was a pointer that my father mated with.
At the shelter, I was very good on the leash when both foster mommy and her son
walked me and I know sit. I am a very calm, but a playful and laid back Dalmatian.
I really enjoy being with you and will cry if you leave the room, but I am not
destructive when you leave the house. I am very handsome and foster mommy says
my pictures do not do me justice. I am neutered, housebroken, up to date on shots,
heartworm negative and on preventative, on flea and tick preventative, 66 pounds,
and very healthy. If you are interested in adopting me, please apply.
Please note that homes with small dogs or cats would not be a wise match for Ed.
