LEXUS

Hello. My name is Lexus. My owner didn't have time for me. She thought I was too old and too sick to live very long, so she was going to take me to the shelter. We all know what happens to old girls like me at a shelter...they run out of space, have way too many younger dogs that are more adoptable, and I'd be put to sleep because they needed the space.

But I was lucky. A nice lady from CCDAL took me in. She said that all us "old folks" deserve a loving home with a soft bed and regular meals for whatever time we have left. I may not have much time left, but I don't hurt too bad and I still like to eat and I love to get petted, and talked to, and have my ears rubbed, and get tummy rubs...and all those things I've always enjoyed.

So now I will get to live out my time in a wonderful house with lots of other dogs, many in the same shape I'm in. I have a foster mom and foster dad who love me and will keep me free from pain and let me live out my life here with them. I have great friends (like Anthony, here!) who stop by to see me and play with me. There are expenses to keep me comfortable...medication and such, so if you could help support me with a small donation (or even a large one!) I would appreciate it.

If you are one of those exceptional folks, like my fosters, who isn't afraid of having a senior dog in your home for what might be only a short time, please contact CCDAL at the link below. There are lots of older dogs like me out there...we don't ask for a lot, but we are really thankful for all you can give us.
